“I am absolutely convinced that friendship and solidarity…will further develop into a long-term strategic partnership that keeps pace with the demands of the new era,” Kim said in his letter.
“The two countries will always emerge victorious, strongly supporting each other and cooperating with each other along the way to achieve their common goal.”
The US has accused North Korea of ​​supplying Russia with weapons for its war in Ukraine. Pyongyang and Moscow deny this.
For his part, the Russian president, in his message to Kim, also pledged to strengthen bilateral relations.
“I am confident that we will strengthen bilateral cooperation in all fields for the prosperity of the two peoples and the strong stability and security of the Korean Peninsula and the whole of Southeast Asia,” Putin was quoted as saying by KCNA.
