At least two civilians were killed and one wounded in a bomb attack in Kabul today, Afghan police said.

The blast killed two men riding a tricycle and wounded a bystander in Kabul’s Darulaman district, Afghan police spokesman Khalid Zadran said.

So far there has been no claim of responsibility for the bombing.

Since the return of the Taliban to power in August 2021, reports of terrorist attacks in Afghanistan have decreased significantly. However, the Islamic State jihadist group has claimed responsibility for sporadic attacks in various parts of the country.

Afghanistan remains isolated internationally, as the Taliban have imposed draconian restrictions on women, violated human rights and will not even discuss creating an inclusive representative government.
