Another complaint of harassment by British comedian Russell Brand is brought to light by the Sun newspaper, with a woman describing how the 48-year-old now star followed her on the streets of London in 2005 asking her to have sex “on the spot”.
“I felt like he was stalking me. It wasn’t flirty or anything pleasant. The word ‘predator’ fits perfectly. (…) He’s like the Terminator, you can’t get rid of him,” the woman who met Brad that day in a bar tells the newspaper.
The latest revelation follows accusations by four women of rape, sexual assault and emotional manipulation by Brad that were revealed by The Times on Saturday. These categories cover the period 2006-2013.
It followed Monday’s announcement by the Metropolitan Police of yet another complaint against Brad for a sexual assault in London’s Soho in 2003.
In addition, clips from old TV shows in which fellow female stand-up comedians talk about a “predator” in their venue or drop hints about Russell Brand’s behavior have been pulled by the British media.
At the same time, YouTube has suspended advertising on Brad’s videos, depriving him of a key source of income since he presents himself as an online wellness guru with millions of followers.
According to the owner company Google, the decision was made due to a violation of the policy on the responsibility of video creators.
At the same time, on Monday it was announced that Russell Brand’s scheduled appearances at comedy nights scheduled in the following days in various British cities have been postponed.
