Stephen Fry has been rushed to hospital after a serious accident at an artificial intelligence and technology festival in London.

The actor and radio producer, 66, was speaking at the CogX festival.

Finishing his speech and coming down from the stage he fell from a height of about two meters

He was injured in the ribs and legs and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Spokesmen for Mr. Fry did not respond to a request for comment.

As witnesses to the incident reported to the Daily Mail, the place where you could get off the stage was very dark and there was no handrail on the steps.

“He fell to the floor from a height of two meters. He looked like he had a stroke and had to leave in a wheelchair.’

The accident happened last week and it is unclear if Fry – beloved for his roles in Blackadder and a QI presenter – is still in hospital.

In any case, while he is generally active on social media, he has not posted since the day of the accident
