Several people were injured on Friday night when two trains collided at a station in northern Scotland, a Police Scotland spokesman said.
“Around 19:00 [σ.σ. τοπική ώρα· στις 21:00 ώρα Ελλάδας] (…) we were alerted to a collision between two trains at Aviemore station,” in the Highlands region, the spokesman explained.
Two people were taken to a nearby hospital, while “a number of others were treated at the scene,” he added.
The accident happened on a “private (railway), next to the main (railway),” rail company ScotRail clarified via X (formerly Twitter), warning customers that traffic was experiencing problems, which were later overcome.
