Russian ambassador to UN: Moscow rules out invasion of Ukraine – US spikes

by

“Western countries in their efforts to convince everyone that Russia is already preparing to invade Ukraine in the near future and that there are a few weeks, if not days, of no evidence to substantiate their claims,” the Russian Permanent Representative said today. to the UN Vassily Nebenzia, during the meeting of the UN Security Council.

According to Nebenzia, the United States, in its statements, seems to be calling for war, creating the impression that they want to make their conjectures come true.

“Discussions about an impending war are in themselves provocative. “You seem to be calling for something like this, you want it and you are waiting for it to happen, as if you want to make your conjectures come true,” Nebenzia said.

Nebenzia said Russia was not considering invading, adding: “I can rule it out.” However, he did not rule out the possibility of provocations on the part of Ukraine, as well as the fact that the crisis in Ukraine is a purely internal crisis, with which Russia “has absolutely nothing to do.”

According to Nempenzia, Russia plans to convene a meeting of the UN Security Council on February 17 on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the Minsk agreements, during which, as he said, “we will be able to talk about the situation with the settlement of the Ukrainian issue.” .

Vassily Nebenzia left the UN Security Council meeting before the Ukrainian representative Sergei Kislitsa spoke, because, as he said, he had a scheduled meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

“Please do not take this as a step. “I have to leave this meeting because of a scheduled meeting with the Secretary-General about our presidency,” Nebenzia said.
