Israel is starting a “long and difficult war”, warns Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a post he made a while ago on the X platform (formerly Twitter). At the same time, he emphasizes that the responsibility for this war belongs to Hamas, which launched deadly attacks on Israeli territory yesterday Saturday.

The first phase of the war concerns the extermination of the enemy forces that infiltrated Israel and killed civilians and soldiers, writes the Israeli prime minister.

Netanyahu says that the Israeli armed forces have launched an attack on the Gaza Strip, which will continue “uninterrupted” and with determination “until the objectives” of the operation are achieved.

“We will restore security for the citizens of Israel and we will win,” assures the Israeli prime minister.

The Reuters news agency reports that the Netanyahu government’s cabinet has given the green light for attacks against military and administrative targets of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip.
