IDF says airstrike to “neutralize” senior Hamas figure followed intelligence efforts by Shin Bet security agency and Directorate of Military Intelligence
The IDF confirmed the “neutralization” of the senior Hamas figureAyman Nofal, a member of the terror group’s General Military Council and commander of the Central Gaza Brigade, posting footage of the airstrike.
“We just ‘neutralized’ Ayman Nofal, a senior Hamas official. Nofal was Commander of Hamas’ Central Brigade in Gaza and former Chief of Military Intelligence. Nofal directed many attacks against Israeli civilians and in addition to being one of the most dominant figures in the terrorist organization, he was involved in planning the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit. We will not stop until we ‘neutralize’ Hamas,” the IDF wrote in its post.
