A second convoy with humanitarian aid trucks entered the border today, Sunday Rafa Pass, while being inspected before heading to the Gaza Strip, according to security and humanitarian sources in Rafah.

A total of about 17 trucks were at the border crossing for inspection before entering Gaza, the same sources said.

It increased to 4,741 meanwhile the Palestinian death toll, while the wounded reached 15,898, since Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip since October 7, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

New warnings

Earlier, the Palestinians announced that they had received new warnings from the Israeli army to withdraw from the northern part of the Gaza Strip to the south, with the added warning that if they did not, they could be considered supporters of a “terrorist organization”. Subsequently, in a statement, the Israeli army proceeded with clarifications.

This message was delivered with leaflets bearing the name and logo of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and sent via audio messages to the mobile phones of people in Gaza.

“Urgent warning to the people of Gaza. Your presence north of the Gaza Strip puts your life in danger. “Anyone who chooses not to leave northern Gaza (to the areas) south of the Gaza Strip may be identified as an accomplice to a terrorist organization,” the leaflet said.

The Israeli army pointed out in a statement that it “does not intend to consider those who have not removed (…) members of the terrorist organization.” It added that it does not target civilians.
“In order to limit harm to civilians, the IDF sent a request to the residents of the northern part of the Gaza Strip to move south,” he explained.

Israel is constantly bombing the Palestinian enclave following the October 7 attack by Hamas, and has been massing troops and equipment near the border with Gaza ahead of a ground operation there.

Israeli authorities have already warned residents of the Gaza Strip to move south, although Palestinians said they had not been told until now that they would be considered “terrorist” supporters if they did not. They also explained that travel to the south is still dangerous amid aerial bombardment, adding that areas in the southern part of the enclave have also been affected by Israeli raids.

Veto on declaring a humanitarian ceasefire

The USA practiced on Wednesday veto in a draft decision submitted by Brazil which requested it declaring a humanitarian ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas, as well as the entry of aid into Gaza.

US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield justified her country’s veto on Wednesday by pointing out that more time is needed for diplomatic efforts.

She commented that US disappointed that Brazil’s draft did not mention Israel’s right to self-defense. Washington emphasizes that Israel has this right based on Article 51 of the UN Charter.
