One hundred and one Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank in Israeli army operations after the outbreak of war between Israel and Gaza on October 7, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced today.

Tensions in the West Bank were already high before the war broke out, with regular raids by Israeli forces and an increase in Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians. The war in Gaza increased the tension even more.

Moreover, since October 7, a member of Israel’s security forces has been killed during an operation, according to the Israeli army.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, a total of five Palestinians died from Israeli fire, the health ministry said.

Three of them in Jenin, the Palestinian Wafa news agency clarified for its part, citing local sources.

In a statement, the Israeli army confirmed that it was conducting “anti-terrorist operations” in this area, after the explosion “against the security forces of explosive devices”. In the announcement, the army did not mention casualties.

Two more Palestinians were killed in Qalqilya, in the northern West Bank, and another in Qalandiya, north of Jerusalem.
