Defense Minister Yoav Gallad vowed Thursday that Israel would win the war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and will return to their homes more than 200 hostages held by the terrorist group.

“This is a war for our home and we will win it. It’s us or them,” clarified. “We are in decisive momentss. This is a war against small children, women and Holocaust survivors. We will win this war,” the Israeli minister said.

“I saw soldiers falling in battle, and divisional commanders leading the battles,” Galland said, referring to the Oct. 7 attack and the fighting with Hamas in the following days. “Additional stages will come at the war, we are preparing them and we will make them happen. I am determined to bring us victory,” he pointed out.

Gallant made it clear that the planned ground attack would take place soon, “when the right conditions are created”. “Israel strikes Hamas targets ‘from the air, land and sea.’ It hits warehouses, tunnels and outposts.”

“War is precise, deadly and powerful. I know it is our duty to win the war. It is my duty as defense minister to lead so that we win the battles and the citizens can live here in peace,” he continued, according to the Times of Israel.

“Another thing happened in this campaign that we’ve never seen before. We have over 200 prisoners and missing and have lost approx 1,400 soldiers and civilians in battle”.

“As a father, grandfather and son of Holocaust survivors, I understand and am deeply saddened by the very heavy price of those who fell in battle. I am determined to make every effort to return the hostages to their families, this is my highest duty,” he noted. “What happens in the next 75 years depends largely on the success of this war” underlined.
