Joe Biden is preparing to announce a series of measures for the regulatory framework for the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the US presidency announced, with the aim of limiting the risks associated with the emerging technology.

According to the White House, the US president will sign an executive order that will set new security rules for all Artificial Intelligence systems and require the agencies that develop them to share with the US authorities the results of the security tests they will carry out .

The purpose of the presidential order is also to prevent the risks associated with the development through AI of dangerous biological products and to ensure that AI is not used to deceive consumers.

The initiative is “the broadest action plan ever taken to protect Americans from potential risks associated with Artificial Intelligence systems,” the White House said in a statement.

At the same time, US Vice President Kamala Harris is expected in Britain where she will participate on Wednesday and Thursday in the summit meeting of political leaders, representatives of the Technology sector and researchers on the technological revolution brought by AI.

The summit, which will be attended by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, among others, will discuss artificial intelligence’s fears of cyber-attacks, disinformation , job losses and fraud.
