The first international conference on the security of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being hosted by Britain from today.

The two-day conference is being held at Bletchley Park, the headquarters of Britain’s World War II intelligence agency.

At the conference more than 100 industry experts, entrepreneurs leveraging AI and politicians will attend. Among them, the billionaire stands out Elon Muskits head OpenAI Sam Altman and the Cypriot origin of her precarious DeepMind which has been acquired by Google, Demis Hassambis.

US President Joe Biden will be represented by Vice President Kamala Harriswhile the President of the Commission will also be present Ursula von der Leyenpossibly the Prime Minister of Italy Georgia Meloni, but also Chinese minister responsible for technology issues.

The host is British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak wants to make the UK a global center of debate and initiative around the opportunities and threats of IT.

According to reports, at the conference will seek to lay the groundwork for a global council on the regulations that should govern the development and use of AI, modeled after the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Just last week Mr Sunak gave his first major speech on the dangers of IT, presenting a series of dystopian scenarios if the potential of new advanced technologies is not checked.

On Wednesday, the first day of the conference, the work will be led by UK Technology Minister Michelle Donelan and on Thursday by Rishi Sunak.
