An alarm has been raised in the police authorities of Lyon in France as earlier a man stabbed and injured a Jewish woman.

At the same time, swastikas were painted on her house.

As she reported, someone rang her doorbell and when she answered, an unknown person stabbed her twice.

He was wearing dark clothes, his face was partially covered and fled after the incident.

The victim, wounded in the abdomen, was taken to a hospital in Lyon.

Fortunately, her life is not in danger.

“Such an act of violence is unthinkable. I express my solidarity with the victim and her relatives,” Lyon mayor Gregory Doucet said on the social networking platform X.

A national police spokesman did not provide further details about the suspect and said he could not confirm whether police were treating the attack as an anti-Semitic hate crime.
