The plane carrying the American Secretary of State had landed in Larnaca. Earlier, during his visit to an inauguration in a village in Nicosia, President Nikos Christodoulidis had stated that he would go to Larnaca for an extraordinary visit to the country, “within the context of the efforts that our country has undertaken in relation to the crisis in the region us”.
