The 8-year-old who was presumed dead after the attack by Hamas gunmen in Beiri is now believed to be alive and among the hostages in Gaza.

In October, her father, with tears in his eyes, spoke to CNN about her death, but said he was “relieved” that his daughter would not live through the torture of Hamas.

“She has probably been kidnapped and is in Gaza”

According to the daily mail, the Israeli authorities in a conversation with the parents of the 8-year-old girl revealed that she is a hostage of Hamas and is probably somewhere in Gaza.

Emily’s older sister, Natalie Hunt, told Israeli broadcaster Channel 12: “We were told he had been murdered. We were in mourning. On October 31, we were told that it was very likely that she had been abducted.”

Asked if she had anything she wanted to say to Emily in case she was listening, she said: “I want to tell you that we are doing everything we can to get you home. We know you’re being held hostage. We love you very much and miss you.”

Natalie added that Israeli officials told her that Emily’s friend and her mother, at whose house she had spent the night that fateful night, were also likely to be held hostage by Hamas.
