The Israeli army has reopened humanitarian corridors for civilians in the north of the Gaza Strip to flee to the south, the Arabic-speaking Spokesman of the Israel Defense Forces, Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, said.

Specifically, Adraee writes to X that Israel will open the Salah-al-Din road to the south between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

“For your safety, take advantage of the time to move south beyond the Gaza Strip,” he says, echoing the Israeli military’s long-standing insistence that civilians be moved south, where IDF operations are more limited.

The humanitarian corridor opened for several hours yesterday, despite being attacked by Hamas on Saturday.

About 800,000 people are believed to have fled the south so far, although many have insisted on staying in the northern part of the enclave, noting humanitarian plight and air strikes also taking place in the south.
