In his own speech, the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, said that his country is making mediation efforts to secure the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza and that he hopes that a humanitarian truce will soon be reached in the Strip.
“The international community has failed to assume its legal and moral obligations,” Sheikh Tamim said at the joint summit of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Riyadh.
