In the last few hours, a shocking complaint from journalists at X (formerly Twitter) has been making the rounds on the internet. The complaint has not been officially confirmed or denied.

According to the complaint, and in a photo posted by the Israeli military as evidence of humanitarian aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip, a soldier is seen helping a distressed, elderly Palestinian man away from the battlefield with Hamas, and escape the crossfire.

As soon as filming and photography ended, the Israeli army is accused of killing 75-year-old Bashir Hajji.

According to his granddaughter, Bashir was trying to flee to the South on foot, following Israel’s instructions, but he could not walk well and was left behind. Then the Israeli soldiers started shooting at the residents of Gaza.

His relatives spoke to him on the phone – he was alone, terrified and hungry and asked him to hide in a safe place until they went to get him. His son got very close to the city but the IDF forces had already caught up with his father…

The Mossad’s response to the documentary photos

A few hours after the related posts, the Israeli Mossad responded that the elderly Palestinian was killed by Hamas fighters because he was seen taking pictures with the Israeli soldier.

“Hamas killed this Palestinian because he was seen in a photo talking to an Israeli soldier. All he did was ask which way he was allowed to go,” the post reads
