Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has renewed his appeal to US President Joe Biden to intervene immediately to stop the “genocide” of Palestinians.

In a televised message, the Palestinian Authority president called on Biden to intervene in the ongoing war, given his significant influence over Israel.

“What our people are enduring, the killings and destruction, is beyond human endurance,” Abbas said. “Isn’t the blood of children, women and the elderly that has been spilled enough to awaken the conscience of the international community?”, asked the Palestinian leader.

Abbas also urged Biden to press for much-needed humanitarian aid to enter the besieged Gaza Strip, stressing that Palestinians must live in freedom and dignity in their homeland. He added that his compatriots will not leave the Palestinian territories until they get their rightful right: an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

“Stop the genocide against our people,” declared Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
