Searches for four missing teenagers in north Wales have come to a tragic end.

The youngsters, according to the Daily Mail, were found dead in their vehicle, which was overturned and half-submerged near the Snowdonia National Park.

Shrewsbury teenagers Jevon Hirsch, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson and Hugo Morris traveled to Harlech on Saturday, with the intention of camping in Eryri on Sunday and were due to return home on Monday. However, none of them contacted friends or relatives, nor were they active on WhatsApp.

According to the same information, the four youths were not experienced campers and had only a tent and sleeping bags with them.

“The families of the teenagers have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this desperate time,” said Inspector Owain Llewellyn. “Investigations are ongoing to officially identify the people inside the vehicle and to understand what led to this tragic incident,” he added.

“Shocking news. My thoughts are with their family and friends during this incredibly difficult time as they deal with the unimaginable,” Welsh Premier Mark Drakeford said.
