Announcement about with the armistice agreement with Israel issued on Wednesday the Hamas. In her statement she describes the official terms of the armistice.

“After several days of negotiations, we announce, with the help and guidance of Almighty Allah, the reaching of a four-day humanitarian ceasefire (temporary ceasefire) agreement,” the text reads.

“This result is a testament to the tenacious and commendable efforts of Qatar and Egypt”, adds the organization.

Hamas describes the terms of the agreement, which are as follows:

  • A ceasefire established by both parties across Gaza.
  • The intensive entry of trucks carrying humanitarian aid, relief supplies, medical aid and fuel into all areas of the Gaza Strip.
  • The release of 50 Israeli hostages, women and children under the age of 19, in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinian women and children in Israeli prisons.
  • No Israeli flights over southern Gaza for four days.
  • No Israeli flights to northern Gaza for six hours daily, from 10am. until 4 p.m.
  • Free movement of civilians, especially along Salah al-Din road.

“The terms of this agreement have been spelled out with the vision of serving our people and strengthening its stability in the face of aggression, always bearing in mind their sacrifices, sufferings and concerns,” Hamas states.

The organization also promises to continue to be a “protective shield and defender of our people” despite the ceasefire.

Hamas official Musa Abu Marzouk said in an interview with Al Jazeera that the temporary truce between the organization and Israel it will take effect tomorrow at 10 am.
