The Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, Lord David Cameron, is in Israel.

According to the Foreign Office, during his stay in the region he will have meetings with Israeli and Palestinian officials.

The first images from the visit show Lord Cameron to escorted to the site of the October 7 Hamas attackspecifically in the Be’eri kibbutz where about 100 Israelis were murdered.

As he posted on X himself, “he heard and saw things he will never forget”. Lord Cameron added: “Today is also a day when we hope to see progress on the humanitarian ceasefire. It’s a critical opportunity to free hostages and get aid into Gaza to help Palestinian civilians who are facing an intensifying humanitarian crisis.”

On Wednesday the head of British diplomacy welcomed in London his counterparts from Arab and Muslim countriess, including Turkey and Saudi Arabia, to discuss the situation in the Middle East.

Specifically the release of all the hostages was put on the tableincreasing humanitarian aid to Gaza and achieving a long-term political solution to the crisis.

Lord Cameron pledged that Britain will continue to support efforts to prevent the conflict from spreading to other countries, such as Lebanon and Yemen.
