A large-scale Russian kamikaze drone attack has been underway since the early hours of this morning in Kiev, where according to Ukrainian authorities at least two civilians were injured by debris.

“For now, there are two victims in the Solomiansky district. Both received first aid on the spot,” the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko, explained via Telegram.

According to the same official, an apartment building in this district was damaged by falling debris and rescue crews are working to pull two women out of the debris.

In the same area there were fires, among them in a playground, the mayor said. Debris of downed Russian drones also landed in the Pechersky district.

It was, always according to the Ukrainian authorities, remote-controlled unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with explosives, Iranian-made, of the “Shahed” type. They did not specify how many such UAVs were sent to hit Kiev.
