THE prince harry estimates that his children cannot “feel at home” in Britain, lack of adequate protectionhis lawyer assured today in London, where the prince questions before the Supreme Court the interruption of the systematic provision of protection to him and his family.

The Duke of Sussex, the youngest son of Prince Charles III, and his wife Meghan have lost their regular law enforcement protection, at the expense of British taxpayers, after they decided to step back from the royal family in 2020 and settle in the USA.

He is contesting before the courts this decision taken by an organization, which is under the Ministry of the Interior and which now provides him with police protection on a case-by-case basis.

Today, on the final day of the hearing, which began on Tuesday mostly behind closed doors, Harry’s lawyer, Shahid Fatima, read a statement from the prince, who was not present at the hearing of his appeal.

“The UK is central to my children’s history and a place where I would hope they feel at home, even if they currently live in the US. But that is impossible if it is not possible to ensure their protection when they are on British soil,” Harry assured.

“I can’t put my wife in that kind of danger, given what I’ve been through, I’m unwilling to put myself in unnecessary danger,” he added.

The prince pointed out that he and his wife “felt compelled” to leave the country in 2020 and retire from their royal duties.

In the past few days, his lawyer argued that the decision taken by the British authorities to change the rules for granting protection was “unfair” given his status and the circumstances of the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
