The football player was urgently taken to the hospital and the referee was arrested.
elpais.com reports that “relatives of the victim assured that, despite the seriousness of his condition, he is out of danger.”
The victim, who was taken to a local care center, is 21 years old.

The match was in progress when tension arose between players from both teams, with the referee getting involved and after the footballer’s protests took out a sharp object he was carrying and stabbed him in the chest.
