Three family members of a 10-year-old girl found dead in Britain in August, who had fled for a month in Pakistan, pleaded not guilty in a London court today to her murder.

The body of 10-year-old Sarah Sharif was found on August 10 at the family’s home in Woking, southern England, after her father called her from Pakistan. The autopsy showed that he carried “many wounds” that had been inflicted over a long period of time.

After fleeing for a month to Pakistanthe girl’s father Urfan Sharif, 41, his partner Baynas Batul, 29, as well as Urfan’s brother Faisal Malik, 28, returned to Britain on September 13 and were arrested when they got off the plane.

To them they were charged with murder and remanded in custody.

Their trial is scheduled to take place in September 2024.

In a video of her in early September, the girl’s stepmother declared her death an “accident”.

Urfan Sharif had fled to Pakistan along with his five other children, who were ordered to be transferred to a juvenile protection facility in the country.
