The sale of F-16 fighter jets to Turkey, as well as regional and international security issues, were put on the table
Officials from the Turkish Defense Ministries and the US discussed during a meeting in Washington a series of issues, including the sale of F-16 fighter jets to Turkey as well as regional and international security issues, according to Turkish media.
A related announcement was issued by Ministry of Defense of Turkey, in which it is stated that the meeting of the High Level Group on Defense between the Ministries of Defense of Turkey and the United States of America was held in Washington on 21 December.
“During the meeting, which was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere, negotiations and exchange of views were held on bilateral defense, military training and cooperation in the field of defense industry, as well as on regional and international security issues. The next meeting is scheduled to be hosted by the Republic of Turkey next year.” noted in the announcement of the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
