The Czech Republic, and especially Prague, has turned into a “fortress” for “imitators” of David Kozak, after the massacre with 15 dead at Charles University.

Just a few hours after the tragedy, late Thursday night, an unknown man contacted the police threatening that he was inspired by Kozak and intended to take a gun and kill. But he was soon discovered and arrested. But the Czech police have sounded the alarm, as on Friday night a person was walking around the center of the capital holding a fake grenade.

Although the attacker is dead and the police have no information about a similar threat, it remains the danger of “fans” of the 24-year-old. Police surveillance is therefore being stepped up at selected points as a precaution.

Police Chief Vodracek confirmed that more police, even with firearms, will be placed in various places, including Jewish monuments, at least until the beginning of January. Despite the Christmas period, attention is also paid to universities and selected secondary schools.

In the future, among other things, it is expected to open a discussion and to improve security of schools, but also other places where the world could be threatened by the rage of a maniac.

Also impending change in gun laws, with the 24-year-old possessing many of them legally.

Among other things, gun sellers would be required to report non-standard purchases (for example, a large amount of ammunition), while gun license holders would also need a psychological examination – and doctors would also have to have access to a central gun registry.
