When asked what moment still makes him feel ashamed, he mentioned the Brussels 20km race, which he ran and finished, but he was unprepared and underwhelmed
In one more personal interview in the newspaper “Sudinfo”, o Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander De Crook revealed that one of his dreams for 2024 is to find “Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku on the balcony of Brussels City Hall with the European Cup in their arms”.
He also mentioned that he still takes his sons to school twice a week.
“There are two fixed blocks marked in my calendar, every week, since my first day as prime minister: Tuesday and Thursday mornings between 07:50 and 08:20 I take time to drop my sons off at school. I’m not going to say it happens every time, I’d say 8 times out of 10, but it’s a time I like. We take time to chat in the car, tell each other about our lives. I say my sons, but in the last year, the eldest, Tobias, has decided that he is independent and goes by bike. I always have the right to accompany Gabriel even if I have to stop 100 meters from the gate to avoid being the ‘stuck’ dad.’
When asked what moment still makes him feel ashamed, he mentioned the Brussels 20km road race, which he ran and finished, but was unprepared and underwhelmed. “I vowed to do it again having trained better” noted the Belgian prime minister.
