The Israeli military announced that nine soldiers were injured, one of them seriously, during an anti-tank guided missile attack in Sommera in northern Israel as they rushed to evacuate a civilian wounded in an earlier Hezbollah attack on the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Mary.

According to the IDF, Hezbollah fired a rocket from Lebanon at the Greek Orthodox Church of Ikrit, injuring an 80-year-old man.

As Israeli forces arrived at the scene to remove the wounded, Hezbollah fired additional rockets, injuring nine of them.

One soldier is in serious condition, while the other eight are lighter.

The IDF announced that it hit the building where the terrorist who fired the rocket at the church took refuge (left video up to 5 seconds), a Hezbollah position, while the organization also fired a rocket near a mosque in northern Israel.

“This is yet another proof of Hezbollah’s cynical exploitation of Lebanese civilians and holy sites for its terrorist activity,” the IDF said.
