Brigadier General Razi Mousavi was hit by three Israeli missiles, according to Tehran, while in the Sayeda Zeinab neighborhood in the southern suburbs of Damascus.
The Israeli strike that killed him on Monday in Syria a high-ranking commander of the Revolutionary Guards, of Iran’s ideological army, claimed the lives of three more pro-Iranian fighters, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced on Tuesday.
The brigadier general Razi Mousavi was targeted by three Israeli missiles, according to Tehran, while in the Sageda Zeinab district, in the southern suburbs of Damascus, where pro-Iranian, paramilitary groups that support the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad operate.

“Another three pro-Iranian fighters, one Syrian and two foreigners, were killed in this strike,” according to the Observatory, which is based in Britain but has a wide network of sources in Syria.
According to the same source, Israeli surface-to-surface missiles targeted “two positions of pro-Iranian fighters near the occupied Golan”, without injuring anyone. Pro-Iranian organizations in the region have been put on high alert following Mousavi’s death.

The brigadier general was, according to Tehran, “one of the most experienced advisers” of the Counts Force, of the special forces and foreign operations unit of the Revolutionary Guards, who “promised” that they would avenge his death. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi also blamed Israel.
Residents of Sayeda Zeinab said pro-Iranian fighters in the area were on alert today in the district, which is also home to members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
