Ukraine launched an attack with remote control unmanned aerial vehicles in the Belgorod region of Russia, its commander announced today, clarifying that many of them were destroyed by anti-aircraft defense as they approached the homonymous capital.

Last Tuesday night, the Ministry of Defense reported that 9 Ukrainian missiles were shot down in the same Russian region.

Air defense arrays “prevented another attempt by the Kiev regime to commit a terrorist attack on Russian territory with multiple missile launch systems,” it said via Telegram.

Earlier yesterday, Russian officials spoke for one dead and 11 injured in a new series of Ukrainian attacks pthe city of Belgorod.

At the same time, Russian anti-aircraft defense shot down a Ukrainian missile over Sevastopol, a key port on the Crimean peninsula, its governor, Mikhail Razvazaev, said.

He assured that no casualties or damages were reported.

Russian users of the Telegram platform spoke for themselves for a series of explosions in various sectors of Sevastopol.

Ukrainian attacks against Russian facilities in the Crimean peninsula — which Russia annexed in 2014, which is not recognized by the international community — have multiplied since the summer.
