US Strict Message to Russia: It Will Face “Decisive, Massive and United Transatlantic Response”

by

The West is increasingly concerned about the possibility of a Russian attack on Ukraine, following Biden’s latest statements to NATO. The United States has warned Russia once again about the consequences of an invasion of Ukraine.

In particular, they sent a strong message that there would be a “decisive, massive and united transatlantic response” to Russian aggression.

In the meantime, they have ordered the withdrawal of 150 troops from Ukraine due to the increased risk.

About 150 U.S. troops from the Florida National Guard, who are in Ukraine to help train Ukrainian forces, are fleeing the country as the risk of Russian invasion increases, two U.S. officials told Reuters.

Officials say the decision was made after the State Department ordered staff at the US embassy in Ukraine to leave. They also said it was not yet clear where the troops would be relocated.

At the same time, many countries have called on their citizens and embassy staff to leave Ukraine.

Australia, New Zealand, Germany and the Netherlands were added to the list on Saturday. Turkey, for its part, has asked its citizens not to travel to Ukraine.

Washington said Friday that a Russian invasion, most likely starting with an air strike, could happen at any time. In fact, he predicts the invasion to take place on February 16.

Moscow has repeatedly challenged Washington’s version of events, saying it has mobilized more than 100,000 troops near the Ukrainian border to maintain its own security against NATO allies’ aggression.

Today, Putin had a telephone conversation with Macron over the Ukrainian issue.
