A armed Palestinian organization, allied to the Islamist movement Hamas, released one tonight video showing an Israeli hostage who, he was allegedly killed in an Israeli army shelling in the Gaza Strip.

This video comes from the Al-Nasser Salah-al-Din Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committee. It shows an injured man being given first aid. The video ends with the message: “The enemy killed him (…) with an air strike a few days ago.”

The video was received by AFP journalists in the Gaza Strip. It is undated and its contents cannot be independently verified.

The man in the footage looks like one of the hostages kidnapped on October 7 and held in the Gaza Strip by Hamas and its allies ever since. Unlike a previous video, it does not show his dead body. On January 15, Hamas’ armed wing released video of a hostage, Noa Arghamani, who, apparently under duress, declared that the two men she was holding were dead and “killed by Zionist shelling in Gaza,” which which the Israeli army denied.

It is noted that the Israelis have spoken for psychological warfare, referring to similar Hamas videos.
