According to the Ukrainian Air Force there are no reports of casualties
Russia has launched drone and missile attacks targeting civilian and critical infrastructure in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force announced today.
Based on initial information, there do not appear to be any casualties from these attacks, the Air Force said in a post on the Telegram app.
In recent months, Russia and Ukraine have stepped up their air strikes on each other’s territory, targeting critical military, energy and transportation infrastructure.
The Air Force said Russia attacked the Poltava region in central Ukraine with two ballistic missiles fired by the Iskander ballistic missile system and three surface-to-air missiles in the Donetsk region in the east.
The governor of Poltava Philip Pronin reported via the Telegram platform that the attack hit an industrial complex in Kremenchuk, causing a fire.
At Zaporizhia (south-east), the regional governor Yuriy Malashko announced that a drone had hit infrastructure, without going into details about the extent of the damage or any casualties.
Reuters was unable to independently cross-reference these reports. There was no immediate comment from Russia.
