The American president looked lost during his speech, forgetting the name of Hamas
Intense concern was caused by the behavior of the American president, Joe Biden, who during his speech on the ongoing hostage negotiations between the Palestinian organization and Israel, forget the name of Hamas.
“There is some movement, and I don’t want, I don’t want…” the 81-year-old president said, pausing to stare into space, having forgotten what he wanted to say.
“Let me choose my words [προσεκτικά]” he said continuing in an attempt to buy time until he remembered the word “Hamas”.
“There’s some movement, there’s been… a response from the, uh…” he said, pausing again while looking with the same lost look.
“There was a response … from … the opposition, but um…” he said.
With his thoughts still muddled for several seconds he looked to his left, getting the necessary guidance from a journalist who finally reminded him of the name of Hamas.
“Yes, I feel sorry for Hamas,” he said afterwards.
This new incident comes just one day after Joe Biden confused Emmanuel Macron with Francois Mitterrand.
