Much of the Italian farmers who take part in the mobilizations of the last few weeks, gather these hours in various parts of the country, bound for the Italian capital. According to what is known, they are expected to arrive near Rome within tomorrow and, if they are given the relevant permission, to proceed with a demonstration in the Eternal City on Friday.

“The meetings so far with the police and prefectural officials have been positive. We want to demonstrate against the European policy and we ask for the support of the Meloni government. Multinationals should not be favored, at the expense of our production,” said representatives of the protesters.

It remains to be seen whether the mobilization in the Italian capital will take place as a march in which farmers will take part with their tractors and trucks, or without.

“Rome – where we will demonstrate – is the largest municipality in Europe, in terms of agricultural production. Our appeals should not be ignored, starting with the need to approve, but also to maintain, a series of tax exemptions”, the Italian farmers add.
