The murder of a 48-year-old woman has caused shock in Spain, as she was murdered by her underage step-sons. In fact, the woman was allegedly murdered because they were arguing about grades of the eldest of the children.
Silvia Lopez was found dead in her car in the garage of the house where she lived with her family in Cantabria, Spain. She was tied up, stabbed and with a bag over her head.
According to Spanish media, her children, aged 13 and 15, were arrested for their mother’s murder.
Initial investigations indicate the juveniles stabbed their mother in the neck, then put a bag over her head and abandoned her body in the family car.
Although initially there were suspicions that the crime the victim’s husband is responsible, later the teenagers themselves confessed to the crime.
In fact, after killing their mother, the teenagers of Ukrainian origin fled the scene and called their grandmother pretending that after the murder they were kidnapped.
However, they later confessed to the murderous attack on their mother.
The 13-year-old is in a child protection center under the supervision of psychologists, while the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office took over the case for his older brother.
The woman’s father is shocked by the development of the case. “He can’t believe it,” said a police source.
