Faced with another – the fourth in a row – complaint for sexual assault on a woman, is the famous, now controversial, actor Gérard Depardieu.

According to French media, a former stage assistant is accusing Departier, 75, of sexually assaulting her during the filming of “The Magician and the Siamese” in March 2014.

The lawsuit was filed on January 9, 2024 at a Paris police station, for “sexual assault on a vulnerable person by a man who abused the power of his position.”

The young woman, who wished to remain anonymous, alleged that the actor “caressed her all over the body”, while also referring to the actor’s “obscene words” on the set.

The three previous complaints against Depardieu

In December 2020, Depardieu was indicted for rape and sexual assault following a complaint by actress Charlotte Arnold. The woman reported two rapes at the actor’s home in Paris in late August 2018.

Actress Hélène Darras accused Gerard Depardieu of sexually assaulting her during the filming of a movie in 2007. Her appeal was dismissed at the end of December due to the statute of limitations.

In December 2023, Spanish journalist and author Ruth Bassa also filed a lawsuit in Spain against the actor for rape over events dating back to 1995 in Paris.
