An unusual statement was made by Prince William who spoke for the first time publicly about the war in Israel.

In a public statement, the Prince of Wales says he remains deeply concerned about what is happening in the Middle East and emphasizes that he “holds out hope that a better future can be found and I refuse to give up on it.”

Specifically, in his statement he states:

“I remain deeply concerned about the terrible human cost of conflict in the Middle East following the terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7,” he said.

“I, like so many others, want to see an end to the conflicts as soon as possible. There is a desperate need for increased humanitarian support in Gaza. It is vital that help arrives and the hostages are freed. Sometimes it is only when you are faced with the enormity of human suffering that you realize the importance of lasting peace,” he concludes.
