What the Turkish press reports on the occasion of the detection of migrants off Halicarnassus
They seem to be returning to their old rhetoric the Turkish media speaking today about pushbacks of immigrants from Greece.
As reported by Sky’s correspondent in Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, with Title “Thirty-two irregular migrants, including four children, rescued in Halicarnassus» the report was published on the website of the news agency IHLAS, which states, among other things, the following:
“Upon receiving information that there was a group of irregular migrants in a rubber boat off Halicarnassus, the Coast Guard vessel (TCSG-901) moved to the area. 32 irregular migrants, including 4 children, rescued from rubber dinghy pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements».
With Title “Twenty-five migrants were rescued» a report was published at the same time on the website of the left-wing newspaper BirGün, which states, among other things, the following:
“Off the coast of Muğla’s Datça district, 25 migrants in a rubber boat were rescued. A person identified as a trafficker was arrested. Coast Guard Command teams received a report that a group of refugees was off the coast of the Datça region.
The teams moved to the area after the alert and rescued 25 refugees, including 2 children, who were pushed back from Greece into Turkish territorial waters.»
End “Coast guard teams caught 42 illegal immigrants in Smyrna!» states the report of the pro-government, Islamist newspaper Mili, which records, among other things, the following:
“Off the coast of Izmir’s Dikili district, 42 irregular migrants pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements were safely brought ashore thanks to the meticulous work and quick response of Coast Guard teams.»
