One dead and eight injured is the account of an attack by Palestinian gunmen on a highway in the suburbs of Jerusalem, at a checkpoint near the Jewish settlement of Maale Adumim, Israel’s first aid service announced. Some of the wounded are in critical condition.
Police say three Palestinian terrorists carried out the attack, opening fire with “automatic weapons” on Israelis driving their vehicles towards Jerusalem.

Two of the gunmen were shot by security forces at the scene, while the third fled, before also being shot a short time later, following police searches in the area.
