Two members of Hezbollah were killed and three others were injured when an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacked a building in the Kafr Ruman community in southern Lebanon.

An Israeli UAV fired two missiles at a building in the Kafr Rouman community – northeast of the city of Nabatiya, about 55 kilometers south of the capital Beirut – reports the Agence France-Presse (AFP) citing an official of the Lebanese security services.

The building collapsed from the missile strike and rescuers rushed to find people trapped in the rubble, the German News Agency (dpa) reports.

Earlier today, a woman and a child were killed in an Israeli strike in the community of Mazdal Zun, about six kilometers from the Israeli border.

Hostilities between the Israeli army and Hezbollah fighters along the Israel-Lebanese border have escalated since the unprecedented attack by Palestinian Hamas on October 7 and the subsequent pounding of the Gaza Strip. The clashes have killed 273 people in Lebanon, including dozens of Hezbollah members and 42 civilians, according to an AFP tally based on Lebanese security sources. In Israel, authorities have announced the deaths of ten soldiers and six civilians.
