A 14-storey residential complex in Valencia, Spain, caught fire in the afternoon, from which several tenants were freed thanks to the timely intervention of firefighters.

The images broadcast by the state television (TVE) show how the fire spread to most floors of the building complex. According to the TVE report, at least seven injured people – including firefighters – were taken to hospital with burns or breathing problems. However, there are no reports of casualties so far. Mayor María José Catala appealed to residents to stay away from the area to facilitate the work of firefighters and rescuers.
