THE Russia announced today that prevented attack with toxic gas which was being prepared, according to Moscow, by the Ukrainian secret services, in its region Zaporizhiain southern Ukraine, which is partially under the control of Russian forces.
“Attempt of the Ukrainian secret services to carry out an attack in the Zaporizhzhya region using the equivalent of a toxic military agent”BZ‘ according to the NATO classification it was prevented,” the Russian FSB security service announced.
The toxic agents seized in this operation “are used to make chemical weapons of mass destruction and are designed to USA“, it is stated in an announcement by the FSB.
Russian authorities have launched an investigation into the attack and the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction and three Ukrainian citizens were arrestedaccording to the same source.
The Zaporizhia region is one of four Ukrainian regions – along with Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk – that Russia announced it would annex in 2022, although they are not fully controlled by the Russian military.
