The poll results show a potentially critical risk for Biden, who has angered some in his party by supporting Israel in its war against Hamas militants ahead of a November election in which Biden would not want to lose in of his party.

Biden and Donald Trump drew the same percentage, with 36% each in a hypothetical comparison, with the rest of respondents saying they weren’t sure or would vote for someone else or no one.

Biden’s early support for Israel has sparked outrage in his party.

On Tuesday, more than 100,000 voters in Michigan’s Democratic primary chose the “nonbinding vote” in a mass protest over Biden’s support for Israel’s military campaign.

Democrats’ anger has grown as the death toll in Gaza rises, with the population of 2.3 million threatened with starvation and large numbers displaced.
