Flight restrictions were imposed this morning at Moscow’s Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky airports for security reasons, the Russian Civil Aviation Service announced, due to drone attacks.

Five Ukrainian drones were shot down near Moscow today, according to the official statement.

However, there are reports of more attacks during the night.

The armed forces of Russia and Ukraine announced that they destroyed respectively 35 and 14 remote-controlled drones overnight.

The Russian military said that “air defense systems were intercepted and destroyed 35 drones” in Moscow, Belgorod, Kaluga, Ariol, Rastov, Yaroslavl, Kursk and Krasnadar regionsthe third and final day of the presidential election in Russia.

Earlier, local authorities said a Ukrainian drone strike had caused a fire at a refinery in southern Russia’s Krasnadar region, with one person dead, they said, possibly due to cardiac arrest.

For its part, the Ukrainian army announced that no fewer than 14 drones launched by Russia against Odesa were destroyed, where damage was caused to agro-industrial facilities and other buildings.

Fires that broke out were “immediately extinguished”, the so-called southern command of the Ukrainian armed forces assured, assuring that no injuries or deaths were reported.

Thirteen drones were destroyed in the airspace of the Odesa region and another as it approached the Mykolayiv region.
