The Foreign Ministry calls on all Germans in Ukraine to leave the country immediately.
Updating its travel directive, the German government points out that tensions between Ukraine and Russia continue to rise, due to the massive presence and movement of Russian military units near the Ukrainian border.
“A military conflict could occur at any time,” the statement said, advising Germans in the country to follow developments in the media and subscribe to the German Foreign Ministry’s crisis prevention lists. “Leave on time! “In the event of a Russian attack on Ukraine, the options for supporting German citizens will be very limited.”
The Austrian Foreign Ministry also today called on Austrians in Ukraine to leave the country immediately, with the exception of its western regions.
The ministry points out that the tension has escalated significantly in the last 24 hours, while “it should be expected that the situation will worsen further” and warns to avoid “unnecessary” trips to Ukraine.
Earlier, Paris called on French nationals to leave Ukraine, urging those in the eastern part of the country to leave “without delay”.

He added that those “in the Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk regions, as well as in the Dnipro region, are being asked to leave these areas without delay.”
