Seven people drowned in the sea in the northern part of the Gaza Strip while trying to collect humanitarian aid who had shot down planes in the Palestinian enclave.

Six people died yesterday, Monday, and a seventh succumbed to his injuries today, according to data provided today by the Hamas Health Ministry.

Besides, according to the same source and eyewitnesses, Israeli troops today surrounded the al-Nasser hospital complex in Khan Younis cityin the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Dozens of armored vehicles and tanks have surrounded the compound since morning, eyewitnesses said, citing gunfire.

“The army besieges al-Nasser hospital complex”, the Hamas Health Ministry said in a statement. He referred to her “in violent operations around (the hospital)”as Israel’s army “is preparing to attack the medical, technical and administrative staff and the thousands of displaced persons who remain inside.”

The Palestinian Red Crescent had reported tank movements around the hospital as early as Sunday.

The Israeli military has not responded to AFP’s request for comment on this information.

Israeli troops regularly conduct operations in hospitals in the Gaza Stripunder the pretext that they are looking for Palestinian fighters.
